Field Research Station at Fort Missoula

Field Research station at Fort Missoula is a facility within Division of Biological Sciences at the University of Montana. Place serves as a lab for students to experiment and research. Students who are doing a research project are working at Fort Missoula day and night on their projects.
Reporter Kirstina Matsalak found out how research projects are working out for some students.



Belly Dance

University of Montana offers a belly dance for all students who are interested to stay in shape and have throughout the semester. Experienced belly dance instructor won several awards and shares her experience with her students.
Reporter Kristina Matsalak attended the class to experience the atmosphere of an ancient dance.




Self defense class for women

UM offers a class in self-defense that teaches women to fight back against an attacker. Reporter Kristina Matsalak and photographer Ava Shearer found the techniques that allow women to overpower a larger opponent without needing superior strength.
